Slow-worm (Anguis fragilis) - present in small numbers around the village, with most reports from Church Hill and Joy's Loke.
Grass Snake (Natrix helvetica) - widespread, particularly on the Common and Stubbs Green, and presumably common down by the Tas too.

Slow-worm
Smooth Newt (Lissotriton vulgaris) - occurs widely, both in ponds (notably at Stubbs Green and Three Ponds Wood) and also elsewhere outside the breeding season.
Great Crested Newt (Triturus cristatus) - noted on the Common in 2013 and at Stubbs Green in 2014 and 2015. Would be interested to know a bit more about how widespread this species is around the village.
Common Toad (Bufo bufo) - previous very common breeder at the pond by The Globe, to the extent that the village boasts a pair of Toad warning road-signs that can be opened up to ask motorists to take care. Sadly, these have hardly been needed in recent years as numbers have declined sharply. Toads do still occur in the village however, although clearly not in the numbers they once did.
Common Frog (Rana temporaria) - presumably breeds in various pools around the village - small froglets apparent on the Common in 2020 for example

Common Frog
Minnow (Phoxinus phoxinus) - noted in the Tas in spring 2015
Three-spined Stickleback (Gasterosteus aculeatus) - common along the stream on the Common
There are doubtless many other species of fish present, particularly in the Tas. I have little experience in this group and any information from others would be gratefully received.
