Elizabeth Guthrie Nichols (she, her, hers) is a Professor in the Department of Forestry and Environmental Resources, Associate Faculty with the Environmental and Molecular Toxicology Program, and Coordinator for the Renewable Energy Assessment Minor and Certificate at North Carolina State University. Nichols’ expertise includes water quality, water quantity, and chemicals of concern in forest systems as well as managed hardwood silviculture for bioenergy, sustainable bio-products, and contaminant remediation. Dennis Hazel is an Emeritus Associate Professor and Extension Specialist in the Department of Forestry and Environmental Resources and a member of the Departments Natural Resources Faculty.
