Vstávajte pastieri, berte sa hor,

Aká to novina dajte pozor!

Aké to zázraky javia sa na nebi! (repeat)

Nikdy som nevidel, jak som starý,

Na nebi vysokom takej žiary.

Len sa ma nebojte, pastuškovia!

Prichádzam k vám ako aniel zhora.

Aby som vám zvestil, že sa vám narodil (repeat)

Mesiáš v Betléme, Ježiš malý,

Ktorého oddávna ste čakali.

Iďte a najdete Kráľa kráľov,

Ježíška malého, Pána pánov.

V metečku Betléme, v jašličkách na slame (repeat)

Leží náš Spasiteľ narodený,

V chudobných plienočkách položený.

English translation of Vstávajte Pastieri

1. Wake up, shepherds, and go on the way,

Listen to this joyful news!

Watch the miracles in the sky -

As old as I am, I have never seen

Such bright light in the heaven above!

2. Do not be afraid of me, little shepherds!

I am coming to you as an angel from above,

To tell you the good news of the birth

Of Messiah in Betlehem, little Jesus,

Whom you have long awaited.

3. Go and you will find the King of kings,

little Jesus, the Lord of lords!

In the town of Bethlehem, in the cradle on the hay,

our Saviour born is sleeping,

Laid bare in humble cloths.
