Privacy Policy

ShopMath ("the App") is developed by Mian Ziaullah ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use ShopMath.


1. Data Storage — Local on Your Device


All business data you enter into ShopMath — including sales records, expenses, product lists, inventory, and settings — is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data unless you choose to use the optional Cloud Backup feature described below.


Bluetooth & Nearby Devices: Used only to discover, connect to, and communicate with compatible Bluetooth thermal printers for invoice and receipt printing. No Bluetooth device information is shared with third parties. 


2. Invoice, Receipt and Customer Data

If you use the Invoice and Receipt feature, any customer information you enter — including customer name, email address, phone number, and billing address — is stored locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to our servers unless you are a Premium or Plus subscriber who chooses to use the Cloud Backup feature described in Section 4.

Customer data backed up through Cloud Backup is stored securely on our Supabase database, identified by your unique Backup ID. This data is encrypted in transit via HTTPS. We do not sell, share, or use this customer data for any purpose other than allowing you to restore it on your devices.

Invoice and receipt documents are generated locally on your device as PDF files. These documents may contain third-party information (customer details) that you have entered. You are responsible for handling this data in compliance with privacy laws applicable in your jurisdiction.

USB (OTG) Printing: If you choose USB printing, ShopMath accesses a connected USB thermal printer only to send print jobs. No printer data or business data is collected, stored, or shared. 



3. AI Assistant (Aria)


ShopMath includes an AI assistant called Aria, powered by a third-party large language model provider (Groq, Inc.). When you send a message to Aria, the information necessary to respond to your request may be securely transmitted through our Cloudflare Worker proxy to Groq's API.

This data is transmitted securely over HTTPS through our Cloudflare Worker proxy, which protects our API credentials. Groq processes this information solely to generate AI responses. We do not store your Aria conversations on our servers; conversation history is stored only on your device.



4. Cloud Backup (Premium and Plus subscribers only)


If you are a Premium or Plus subscriber and choose to use the Cloud Backup feature, your business data is securely uploaded to our database hosted by Supabase and linked to your unique Backup ID generated on your device.

Business data that may be backed up includes sales records, expenses, inventory, products and services, invoices, receipts, customer information (such as customer names, phone numbers, email addresses, and billing addresses), settings, and other business records stored in the app.

This data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. We do not use this data for advertising or marketing purposes. It is stored solely to allow you to restore your business data on another device using your Backup ID.

If you do not use Cloud Backup, no business data leaves your device except as described in Section 3 for Aria AI. to this one. 


5. Subscriptions and Payments


ShopMath offers optional paid subscription plans (Basic, Premium, Plus) processed through Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play in accordance with Google's privacy policy. We use RevenueCat to manage and verify subscription status, which processes purchase information and transaction identifiers required to validate your subscription. 


6. Device Identifiers


ShopMath generates a unique Backup ID stored on your device to enable the Cloud Backup feature. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or any personal identity unless you choose to share it.


7. Bluetooth Permissions

ShopMath uses Bluetooth only when you choose to connect to a compatible Bluetooth thermal printer for printing invoices or receipts.

When using this feature, the app may request Bluetooth and Nearby Devices permissions (and Location permission on older Android versions if required by the operating system) to discover, connect to, and communicate with nearby Bluetooth printers.

ShopMath does not collect, store, upload, or share information about nearby Bluetooth devices or printers. Printer information (such as the selected printer name or Bluetooth address) may be stored locally on your device only to reconnect more quickly for future print jobs. This information never leaves your device unless you choose to back up your app data.

Bluetooth permissions are used exclusively for thermal printing and are never used for advertising, tracking, or analytics.


8. What We Do Not Do


- We do not display advertisements

- We do not sell your data to third parties

- We do not track your location

- We do not access your contacts, camera, or microphone

- We do not require account creation or login


9. Data Deletion


You can delete all locally stored data at any time using the "Clear Data" option in Settings. If you have used Cloud Backup, you may request deletion of your backup data by contacting us at the email below with your Backup ID.


10. Children's Privacy


ShopMath is intended for business owners and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.


11. Changes to This Policy


We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
