NADD (North American Diving Dog)
The North American Diving Dogs (NADD) is an association that provides a competitive atmosphere for those interested in dock diving.
Dock diving is the fastest growing canine sport in the last 20 years that consists of running the length of an official dock jumping into an official competition pool. There are different groups for competition including:
jumping distance: how far you pet can long jump across the pool
time: how fast your pet can swim the length of the pool and back
air retrieval: how far your pet can vertically jump while retrieving a toy suspended in air
We offer by the hour dock rentals. Clients must be experienced with the dock or have completed an orientation with the trainer in order to book a rental.
Dock Diving Training Sessions
Shipps Corner provides on-site orientations and private lessons for those interested in entering their dogs in dock diving competitions or those just looking for an activity for their energetic dog.
A group orientation is offered once every month and a private orientation with the trainer can be scheduled. Orientation is set for one hour periods.
Once a client has completed an orientation, they are able to rent the dock by themselves.
