Analysis Report

My project is an analysis report regarding the Shiomidai community's disaster readiness for current and future climates.

Because Shiomidai was built on top of a hill, the area is resistant to floods and tidal damage. Moreover, the Shiomidai Community Association, the local governing body of Shiomidai, has several policies that ensure the health and safety of the community's vulnerable residents. Therefore, the community currently has a low risk of climate damage.

However, Shiomidai is projected to experience heavier rainfall and stronger storms, which will make the community more susceptible to landslides and typhoon damage. My analysis report investigates how future climates are projected to affect Shiomidai and what the community can do to improve its current disaster readiness programs to better prepare for projected extreme weather.
