Plasmon is a collective excitation of electrons. In this research, we aim to realize a quantum computer based on plasmon wave packets. Plasmons typically propagate faster than bare electrons and are expected to be highly coherent. We generate plasmon wave packets on demand by applying a voltage pules to a contact and manipulate their quantum states, realizing a flying qubit. Sharing control apparatuses among multiple qubits facilitates the realization of a resource-efficient quantum computer suitable for scalability. To that end, we investigate the dynamics of plasmon wave packets and establish the basis for manipulating their quantum states.
