MISSION STATEMENT
My mission is to create an equitable, inclusive environment where all students are empowered to achieve social, emotional, academic, and career success through collaboration with parents, educators, and the community. Students will develop the life skills necessary to reach their full potential as positive members of society in an increasingly diverse world.
LEADERSHIP STATEMENT
As a school counselor, I believe in effective communication and collaboration, seeking solutions that are in the best interest of all stakeholders. I am uniquely educated, qualified, and positioned to lead a diverse school community. Finally, I possess the leadership capabilities to empower students to develop necessary life skills as they strive to reach their maximum potential as future leaders in a diverse and evolving world.
ADVOCACY STATEMENT
As a school counselor, I advocate for the equitable treatment of all students, empowering them to achieve social/emotional, career, and academic wellness. I am committed to addressing systemic, cultural, and societal barriers that inhibit my students from becoming contributing members of society. Through education, political advocacy, and community collaboration, I advocate for the success of all students.
As a school counselor, it is my ethical obligation to ensure confidentiality to build and maintain trust, while also recognizing the rights of parents.
However, confidentiality will be broken under the following circumstances:
Student presents information indicating harm to themselves or someone else.
Evidence or disclosure of abuse or neglect.
Threats to school security or safety.
Court-Mandated Reports.
