Privacy Policy for ShiftMate

ShiftMate (“the App”) is developed to help users manage work shifts, track earnings, and organize schedules. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Personal Information

The App may collect limited personal information when you choose to sign in:

• Email address (via Google Sign-In)
  
  

• User ID (from Firebase Authentication)
  
  

This information is used only for authentication and account identification.

1.2 App Data (User-Generated Content)

The App stores the following data created by you:

• Work shifts and schedules
  
  

• Earnings and hourly rates
  
  

• Expenses

2. How Your Data Is Stored

2.1 Local Storage

By default, all your data is stored locally on your device.

2.2 Cloud Backup (Premium Feature)

If you have an active Premium subscription:

• Your data may be backed up to your personal Google Drive
  
  

• Data is stored in the app-specific folder (appDataFolder)
  
  

• Only you can access this data
  
  

The app only accesses files created by the app in your Google Drive (appDataFolder). The developer does not access or store your personal Google Drive files.

3. Authentication

The App uses:

• Google Sign-In
  
  

• Firebase Authentication
  
  

These services are used only to authenticate users and link data to an account.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

The App uses:

• Google Play Billing
  
  

• RevenueCat
  
  

These services are used to:

• Process subscriptions
  
  

• Manage Premium access
  
  

The App does not store or process payment information directly.

Subscriptions are handled by Google Play and can be managed through your Google account.

5. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used to:

• Provide core app functionality
  
  

• Sync data between devices (Premium users only)
  
  

• Maintain your account and subscription status
  
  

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data.

Data may be processed by third-party services only to provide functionality:

• Google (Authentication, Drive)
  
  

• Firebase (Authentication)
  
  

• RevenueCat (subscription management)
  
  

7. Data Security

Reasonable measures are taken to protect your data.

However, no system can guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

• Local data remains on your device until you delete it
  
  

• Cloud backups are removed when you delete your account
  
  

9. Account and Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time:

1. Open ShiftMate and make sure you are signed in

2. Go to Settings

3. Scroll down and tap "Delete account"

4. Type DELETE to confirm

This permanently removes your account, all shifts, earnings, expenses, settings, and your cloud backup. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

Important: your subscription is not cancelled automatically. Premium is billed by Google Play, not by ShiftMate. If you have an active subscription, cancel it separately at https://play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions — otherwise billing continues after your account is deleted

10. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated.

Changes will be reflected with a new “Last updated” date.

12. Delete account

If you have already uninstalled ShiftMate or cannot sign in, send a request to amar.studio.cs@gmail.com from the email address you used in the app, with the subject "Delete my account".

Deleted data includes: account email, stored shifts, settings, and cloud backup.

Requests are processed within 30 days. Some data may be retained temporarily for legal or technical reasons.
