Thank you for using ShiftMate ("the App", "we", "our", or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how ShiftMate handles information when you use the application.
ShiftMate is designed as a privacy-first time tracking and earnings management application. Most information you create within the App remains stored locally on your device.
By using ShiftMate, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
ShiftMate stores the following information locally on your device:
Shifts and work sessions
Jobs and pay rates
Clients and projects
Invoices
Goals and productivity data
Notes and tags
Holidays and overtime settings
App preferences and settings
This information is stored using Apple's local device storage technologies and is not uploaded to ShiftMate servers.
ShiftMate does not require:
User registration
User accounts
Email addresses
Phone numbers
Passwords
You can use the App without creating an account.
ShiftMate does not provide cloud synchronization and does not maintain servers that store your work data.
Your shifts, earnings, invoices, notes, and related information remain on your device unless you choose to export or share them yourself.
ShiftMate allows you to create local backup files.
These backup files are:
Created only when you choose to do so
Stored in locations selected by you
Never uploaded by ShiftMate
Fully controlled by you
ShiftMate offers optional premium subscriptions through Apple's App Store.
Payments, billing information, renewals, and refunds are processed entirely by Apple.
ShiftMate does not receive or store:
Credit card information
Payment card details
Billing addresses
Apple account credentials

ShiftMate uses Firebase Remote Config to download configuration settings related to subscription and paywall presentation.
Firebase may receive:
Firebase installation identifier
App version
Operating system version
Device language and region
IP address required for network communication
No user-created content such as shifts, earnings, invoices, clients, projects, notes, or goals is transmitted.
ShiftMate does not use Firebase Analytics.
ShiftMate uses Apple services for:
App Store purchases
Subscription management
StoreKit transaction verification
Siri Shortcuts and App Intents
Widgets and Live Activities
These services are governed by Apple's own privacy practices.
If you enable notifications, ShiftMate may schedule reminders locally on your device, including:
Shift reminders
Goal reminders
Overtime alerts
Pomodoro notifications
Clock-out reminders
Notification scheduling occurs locally and is not transmitted to ShiftMate.
If you enable App Lock, ShiftMate may use Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode.
Biometric matching is performed entirely by iOS. ShiftMate never receives, stores, or accesses your biometric information.
ShiftMate may add limited summaries of shifts, invoices, and clients to Apple's Spotlight search index so that they can be found through iOS search.
This indexing remains on your device.
ShiftMate does not collect:
Contact information
Location data
Health information
Photos
Camera data
Microphone recordings
Contacts
Browsing history
Advertising identifiers (IDFA)
ShiftMate:
Does not display advertisements
Does not sell personal information
Does not share information with advertisers
Does not track users across apps or websites
You may delete your information at any time by using:
Settings → Delete All Data
This action permanently removes locally stored content, scheduled notifications, widget data, and indexed search records.
Uninstalling the App also removes locally stored application data according to iOS behavior.
ShiftMate is intended for adult workers and is not directed toward children under 13 years of age.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected by changing the "Last Updated" date above.
