The purpose of this website is to analyze Sherlock Holmes's character in Conan Doyle's stories and in movie/tv show adaptations. The first step was building a character profile for Sherlock Holmes solely from stories that Conan Doyle wrote, so his original character/attributes will already be established. Then there is a section discussing these 7 different Sherlock Holmes adaptations: The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (1939 movie); Young Sherlock Holmes (1985); Sherlock Holmes (2009 movie); Sherlock (BBC 2010-2017); Elementary (2012-2019); Holmes and Watson (2018); Enola Holmes (2020). I want to see how Sherlock Holmes’s character has stayed true to Doyle’s original Sherlock and how he has changed in adaptations over the years.
