About Me

Sherena Maharaj-Mootoo

Born in Trinidad and Tobago where I lived for most of my life exposed me to a diverse cultural background and a love for sand, sun, and the sea. After school I had the opportunity to work early in my life which gave me a variety of different experiences throughout the years. Travelling was not something I was interested in my younger years, but once I left my home country for vacation in a neighboring island called St. Lucia for the all-inclusive experience I fell in love.

Besides travelling I enjoy watching a good movie, cooking, gardening, hanging out with close friends and deep diving in my creative side of painting, odd crafts, and drawings. I am passionate about the environment and hope to do more to help protect it in the future.

Now I have embarked on a new journey as a student once more to further my understanding and knowledge on tourism at Seneca Polytechnic in Canada. Learning how the industry works and what I need for my next journey in working in the sector is now one of my new focuses.
