Warden Bay Hotel 1987

1987/88 The Warden Bay Hotel Pool team had a remarkable season They won the Sheppey pool league summer first Division with out loosing a single match and finished runners up in the KO cup, Team from left to right in photo, Jimmy Mumford, Mike Woodall, Adey Horn.( Capt) Malc Fisher, John Allison, Sean Rowe, Barry Willement.

WARDEN BAY

One Sunday lunch time in the Warden Bay Hotel during the summer when we used to get loads of Londoner’s down there, We always played winner stays on, On the top table, Our match table which i kept in pristine condition i may add, Tony Gray would often be in there and stay on all bloody day, This particular day, A Chancer from London challenged Tony to a money game about £5 or £10 per frame, After losing all his money playing double or quits this chancer said to Tony I would play you again but have any money left, Tony says that’s a nice pair of trouser your wearing ill play you for those double or quits, Ok says the chancer, And he was walking around the Bay in his underpants for the rest of the Afternoon, LOL,
