What is ABACUS? If you don’t have an answer, no need to worry!

If you are currently in the field of education, or working your way there, we have a unique and exciting platform on which you build and hone your skills while acquiring the experience you need to be successful!

Below is a brief overview of the opportunities we have to offer:

Everyone begins their journey with two weeks of training and practice to familiarize yourself with

the methods and benefits of using an abacus for math as well as how to effectively manage a classroom.

Following the training you will have an opportunity to implement your learning at one or more of the

various sites in which we run programming.

On any given day your responsibilities as an Abacus Teaching Assistant would include:

Demonstrating leadership and commitment through empowering children &/ youth to reach their fullest potential.

Implementing the abacus curriculum with a small group of 10 or less.

Prepare curriculum and maintain records on each student and record their progress during each session.

Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents regarding student progress.

In addition to the above, we have opportunities for promotion to Abacus Teacher in which you may manage classes of 20 or more students as well as helping to train our Abacus Teaching Assistants.

With our integrated training program you will have the tools you need to help others reach their potential while reaching for your own! Becoming an abacus teacher is a great way to get your feet wet in the field of education.
