No. Most of our students start fresh, without any previous experience.
Each student needs his or her own Abacus frame. We use the 1-4 model, with one bead on top and four beads below.
Students start learning Abacus and mental math as young as 4 and 5! The starting age is flexible and depends on the student, but it is ideal to get students started before age 10 or 11.
Twice a week.
45 minutes.
We keep our classes small, with a minimum of 10 students and a maximum up to around 15-20 students.
The whole program has 6 levels, which cover addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Level 1: Addition/subtraction for 1-digit and simple 2-digit
Level 2: Addition/subtraction for 2-digit and 3-digit
Level 3: Multiplication
Level 4: Division
Level 5: Mixed calculation for addition/subtraction and multiplication/division
Level 6: Advanced mixed calculation for addition/subtraction and multiplication/division
Depending on the age and practice that a student puts into it, it may take up to two terms to finish one level.
Ask the administrative staff at your child’s school if they already host an after school class and complete an inquiry form on our website.
