Har Har Singh's Youth
In my late teens, over 40 years ago, I practiced various techniques for developing self awareness with an early fascination for moving and sensing “energy”. I began to understand “energy” as a force all around us and within us. Reading some books in my youth, I gathered some techniques for moving and manipulating energy within the body and using breath to direct energy. I learned at a young age to sense Qi to some degree without understanding that this was an actual science or art. This sensing of Qi began my journey in self awareness.
Yogi And Meditator For 35 Years
From 19 years on, I began practicing yoga and meditation for a period of over 35 years. I chose to practice meditations that required moving and consciously directing energy, prana, or Qi to various energy gates in the body, much like in Qigong practices, though I spent most of this practice focusing on the energy gates located at the brow and top of the head.
As I grew older, I was discovering that an imbalance was occurring from excessive Qi drawn into the “Higher Energy Gates”. I assumed that the “Higher Energy Gates” equated with superior energy gates of the body, however I realized that a balance of all energy gates within the body is required to fully experience the full flow of Qi.
1990 - 2010: Internal Arts Practices
During this period, I began studying under a master of internal arts practice call Sat Nam Rasayan. This practice had many similarities to Neigong or internal arts of Qigong practice. This practice helped me to develop skill in sensing awareness of the internal body and energy centers within the body. Accompanied with decades of Kundalini meditation that required concentration of moving energy or Qi through various energy gates of the body and through the spine, I began to learn the path of internal arts cultivation.
2013: Began Intensive Qigong Practice
Seeking a varied practice, I discovered Qigong in 2013 where I could learn to use the entire body to fully circulate and expand awareness with movement and also meditation. Qigong practice helped me develop a larger degree of mindfulness that began to promptly change my life in a positive way that was more in line with the natural flow of my being. I began to become more aware of the energy currents flowing throughout my body which inspired me to learn more and brought a desire to share what I know as well.
2014: Certified Qigong Teacher White Cloud Institute
From 2013 to 2014 I studied and practiced Qigong regularly at the White Cloud Qigong Institute, in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Here I learned several forms of Qigong and Qigong meditations. Part of this training also included several 3 day workshops on internal organ massage (Chi Nei Tsang) for health and healing. In 2014 I was certified as a Qigong teacher from the White Cloud Qigong Institute.
2015: Certified 2 Year Intensive Teacher’s Training At Tai Chi & Qigong Academy
In January of 2015, I went on to further study at the Tai Chi & Qigong Academy in Taos, New Mexico. At the academy I learned two forms of Tai Chi along with numerous Qigong practices, meditations, and concepts. In October 2015 I began a two year intensive teacher's training program in Qigong and Tai Chi skills taught by Richard Leirer, who was given the title of a master of Tai Chi and Qigong by highly advanced teachers from China. I went on to attend several ‘Tai Chi & Qigong Academy’ retreats with study of Qigong theory and application.
2016: Began Teaching At The Santa Fe Light Vessel
In 2016, Richard Leirer, founder of the Tai Chi & Qigong Academy, authorized me to teach Qigong, Qigong meditations, and beginning Tai Chi practices. I began teaching Qigong and Qigong meditation classes at the Light Vessel in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
2016: Founded The Shen Ren Qigong Center
Shortly after this, I constructed the 1000 foot studio known as the Shen Ren Qigong Center where I practice Qigong and Tai Chi arts daily. I have lot to share about Qigong and my intent is to make a center where people can come to learn and grow. If inspired, I hope that you can join us and hope that you may find the joy and peace I have found with Qigong.
2017: Graduated from my two year intensive Teacher's Training. Went to China to study new forms with Qigong and Tai Chi masters in Wudang Mountain.
