Conner Shelton is a college student, currently studying at the University of Delaware and as of now, an Independent candidate for the 2018 election for Kansas Governor. He is originally from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and has never been to Kansas once in his entire life.
As many Kansas natives may have learned recently in other news stories, there are absolutely no requirements to be able to run for the office of Governor of Kansas. Absolutely none. No age limits, no need to be registered to vote, and most importantly, no requirement that you actually live in the state.
So, on February 13, 2018, Conner Shelton decided to run as an Independent candidate. From there he developed a crack team of "strategists" and "advisors" (aka his best friends) to help manage his campaign.
A vote for Conner Shelton is a vote for a brighter future for Kansas - and whether that means that he will bring Kansas towards a path to prosperity or end up having the entire state burn down in flame - only time will tell.
Besides, what could possibly go wrong?
