Sheldon Volleyball Club is proud of its image. While representing the Club, all athletes, parents, coaches and spectators are expected to behave in a responsible manner. Any athlete damaging equipment owned by Sheldon Volleyball Club or any facility used by the Club during practices, tournaments, other functions, or at lodging facilities are required to reimburse the Club and/or facility for the damages before continuing participation in the Club.
Scheduled practice time is start time and not arrival time. Plan to arrive early enough to prepare for the start of each practice. There may be a consequence for arriving late to practice and competitions.
If school is cancelled or there is an early out due to inclement weather, there will be no practice. In case of inclement weather, practice and tournament cancellations will be communicated by the coach via email or the REMIND App.
All athletes are expected to be in the gym and ready to warm-up at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled warm-up time (as determined by the coach).
Athletes and/or parents are expected to provide transportation to and from tournament sites.
Athletes are not to leave the tournament site until excused by the coach.
If an athlete cannot be at a tournament, the athlete is expected to call the coach as soon as possible. It is the athlete’s responsibility to communicate with the coach before the tournament starts.
Proper conduct is expected from all athletes, coaches, parents and fans at all times.
Officiating is the shared responsibility of the entire team. All Sheldon Volleyball Club athletes and parents are required to serve as line judges, score book keepers, score board runners, and officials. THIS IS NOT UP TO ONE PARENT/TEAMMATE EVERY TIME.
If you don't know how to officiate, line judge, or keep book, NOW is the time to learn. Head to the FAQ page of this site to watch instructional videos on how to do each of these jobs.
Every athlete is expected and required to remain in the gym until dismissed by the coach.
