Why have I never head of this country before?
Sheepland is a micronation, meaning that it is a self-proclaimed nation not recognized by the UN. Sheepland has diplomatic relations with other micronations, although it does not have relations with any UN-recognized nations. Sheepland is also non-territorial, (see Sheepland's MicroWiki article for more explanation) so it is not on any maps.
I am unsure about applying for Sheeplandic Citizenship. How do I find out if it's a good idea for me?
If you're still unsure about getting Sheeplandic Citizenship, you should try the Compatibility Quiz. It will give you a score which you can compare to some examples at the bottom of that webpage. Make sure you save your score, as you will need it for applying for citizenship later. To apply for citizenship, click here. You can renounce it at any time by contacting the president.
Is Sheepland Communist?
No. A communist country, by definition, is stateless and uses no currency. Sheepland has a state and an official currency. Sheepland is Eco-Socialist which has some similar end goals of communism such as increased equality and worker ownership of the means of production, but it takes a different way of implementing these goals.
What exactly is Eco-Socialism?
Eco-Socialism is an ideology that mixes aspects of non-authoritarian socialism with green politics. Eco-Socialists believe that the world's current economic system is at fault for issues such as environmental destruction and poverty, and they seek to solve these problems through extra environmental protections and the common ownership of the means of production. The means of production are the assets and resources that can produce value, such as a factory or a mine. The common ownership of the means of production (In Sheepland) means that workers either directly own them in a co-op, or they get to vote on the policies that happen in them. Socialists often talk about abolishing private property. Does this mean I can't own my house or land in Sheepland?

When will Sheepland build its "Expatriate Government Building" (EGB) or its artificial island?
Unfortunately, the Sheeplandic Central Government has no clear time frame on when the EGB or the island will be built. It will depend on when Sheepland gains enough funding and citizens to do it. The President estimates that the construction of the island will cost between $20-$100 Million USD. There is no current estimate on the cost of the EGB.
Is there a way I can become a Sheeplandic government official?
At the moment, we are not accepting applications for new officials. When we do, we will update our website and this Q&A answer. However, we do accept ministry requests from citizens of Sheepland. If a citizen wishes to create a ministry, then they could contact the president with their request, including how the ministry operates and its role in Sheepland. However, there is no guarantee that the ministry will be created and the citizen will become the minister of it, although the citizen who suggested it is likely becoming first choice for the minister if the ministry is created.
