Hi! I'm Katia.
I am a G.C. Evans Instructor in the Department of Mathematics at Rice University. I received my Ph.D. in mathematics at the University of Michigan in 2026, where I was advised by Ralf Spatzier.
Currently, I work in Dynamical Systems and Ergodic Theory using Functional Analysis and Spectral Theory.
I received my bachelor's and master's degrees in Mathematical Physics from St. Petersburg State University, Russia. I was a junior researcher at the Steklov Mathematical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences and at the Chebyshev Laboratory at St. Petersburg State University, where I did research in Mathematical Physics and Asymptotic Analysis.
