Hello there, my name is Shayla Sakora, and I'm excited to share a bit about myself with you. I'm currently in my final year of studying BA (Hons) Fashion and Textile Design at Portsmouth University, where I've been honing my skills and discovering my passion for sustainable, inclusive, and experimental fashion.
As a designer, I specialise in digital systems and new age fashion, and I am always seeking ways to incorporate cutting-edge technology into my designs. I firmly believe that technology can enhance the creative process and enable me to push the boundaries of what's possible in the future of fashion.
Another of my core values is sustainability and individuality. I believe that fashion should be created and consumed in a way that is kind to the planet and its inhabitants. That's why I am committed to using eco-friendly materials, reducing waste, and supporting ethical practices. Inclusivity is also very important to me. I believe that fashion should be for everyone, regardless of size, gender, or cultural background- this was something shown in my Graduate Collection 'Conscious Comfort'.
I hope that my passions shine through in my work, and that it inspires you to embrace these values as well. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about my designs and process, please don't hesitate to reach out to me.
