I currently offer virtual or phone sessions across Ontario.
VideoJane is a secure PHIPA compliant video platform that let's you join video sessions from the comfort of your home. You will receive a link to join your session from Jane half an hour before your scheduled appointment time.
TelephoneYour therapist will give you a call at your scheduled session time. We ask that you please join a telephone session from private space where you feel comfortable speaking openly.

A brief meet and greet for the therapist to learn more about what you're looking and her approach may fit. This is a great chance to ask any questions about our services or therapy overall!
Individual Psychotherapy

Session Length: 50 minutes
Price: $140.00
Standard length session. Session frequency is dependent on client preferences and hopes for therapy. Typical options include weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or as needed appointments.
Extended Individual Psychotherapy

Session Length: 75 minutes
Price: $210.00
Extended length session. Session frequency is dependent on client preferences and hopes for therapy. Typical options include weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or as needed appointments.

All initial consultations are complimentary and there is no associated fee.

** We strive to make therapy as accessible as possible. Reduced sliding scale pricing is available as needed. Please don't hesitate to contact us to discuss this option.**
Payment is processed through Jane at the end of each session. We offer direct billing to some insurance companies, and receipts are provided for reimbursement for others. Please contact your insurance company directly for any questions regarding your specific plan coverage.

What To Expect
What To Expect
Most client's find comfort knowing there is no right or wrong way to do therapy/show up in the therapy space. All your feelings are welcome. Treatment is tailored to each individual's needs, preferences, and hopes for what they want to get out of sessions.
Before your first full session you'll be sent a brief intake form to complete through Jane. In our first session we'll start by going over informed consent about the therapy process, followed by some introductory questions about different areas of your life.
During our initial sessions I'll work to build an understanding of the areas you're hoping to work on, and throughout our work together I'll integrate evidence-based approaches and experiential tools to support your goals.

To schedule a consultation or appointment visit our contact page or email shayepsychotherapy@gmail.com. All bookings will be made through the Jane platform.
Clients may choose to book sessions on a weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or as needed basis. Your therapist will ask more about the pace you'd like to take during initial sessions. Therapy is a collaborative and client-centered process. Your therapist will check-in to see how you're finding the pace, direction of the sessions, and to discuss any feedback you have on a regular basis.
If you have a preference for a specific session day or time it is strongly recommended to book your upcoming session a minimum of 2 weeks in advance, or book out a couple of sessions at a time, as time slots can not otherwise be guaranteed.
