Past and Future

As I continue through my degree in Integrative Health, I am working at the University of California, Irvine's Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute and I am building a small private practice within a chiropractic office in Huntington Beach, CA. I have been a massage therapist since 2018, and in that time I have continued my studies into Upledger's Craniosacral Therapy, Barral's Visceral and Neural Manipulations, I have studied to become a Certified Pediatric Massage Therapist with the Liddle Kidz Foundation, and I have earned the designation of Preferred Provider with the Society for Oncology Massage. After finishing my degree, I want to study with Healwell, a non-profit organization based out of Virginia that educates and staffs massage therapist in hospitals along the east coast. 

Hospital-based massage therapy will be my next venture, learning how to apply manual therapy and therapeutic touch to hospitalized populations.

People in ICU units, pre- and post-surgery patients, hospital staff, oncology patients, and patients at the end of their lives. My hope is to bring hospital-based massage to UCI, the only teaching medical facility in Orange County, CA. 

I also have aspirations to use my integrative health degree to become an integrative health consultant that helps established medical facilities develop and implement integrative practices. 

In order to do this, I have my eyes on a MA in Integrative Health Studies of the California Institute of Integral Studies. This degree is designed to allow graduates to pursue a career as an integrative health and wellness practitioner, a consultant for health-oriented behavior change for individuals, families and communities at large.
