Hello, my name is Shawn Maier. I am a student at Arizona State University pursuing a degree in Integrative Health. I am an Advanced Neuromuscular Massage Therapist and Reiki Master living in Huntington Beach, CA and I also practice Craniosacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation . I plan to use the Integrative Health degree to build upon the health education aspect of my massage therapy career. I also want to help bridge the gap between the biomedical field and massage therapy, as well as other integrative therapies. Ultimately I plan to become a consultant that helps develop and implement integrative therapy programs within established healthcare clinics while continuing to practice an integrative style of manual therapy.

In 2022, I started my own practice in a chiropractic office, I began working in a university integrative health clinic, I got married and we got a second dog.

A Short History

I was born in Texas but I grew up in Alliance, OH. I have a large blended family; I am the brother to seven sisters and an uncle to twelve nieces and nephews.

I graduated from Alliance High School in 2009. I did a couple years at Hofstra University in New York before taking some time away from school by moving back to Texas. While it was while I was in Texas that I first became intrigued by massage therapy, it wasn't until after I moved to California that I pursued a career in massage, finally graduating in 2019 from the National Holistic Institute in Santa Ana, CA as an Advanced Neuromuscular Massage Therapist and Health Educator.

After that, things began to take off. I got a new puppy, and a couple months later met my yet-to-be-realized husband. I also began pursuing a degree in Integrative Health at ASU, which I expect to finish in 2024.
