While you're playing video games this summer, work on strengthening your core (or do any exercise you want like jumping jacks, stretching or pushups) like Coach Gates!
(It's much easier to film while on the treadmill than doing this outside - I added an incline to add difficulty)
Name the different Locomotors (ways of moving from one location to another; walking, skipping, bear crawl, etc.)
Complete each locomotor for 20+ seconds
Repeat at least 3 rounds
Challenge: Have a family member record you performing this workout and post to SeeSaw! (not mandatory)
10 Squats, 5 Pushups
Pushups may be done against a wall, table, couch, or on knees IF needed - but first try regular pushups.
Notice my form on each movement!! Focus on your form!!
Challenges:
Set a timer for 5 or 10 minutes and complete as many rounds as you can.
Write numbers 1-10 on small pieces of paper, pick 2, add/subtract/multiply the two numbers and the answer is how many reps to complete.
Have someone from your family give you math facts and the answers are how many reps to complete each round.
These challenges can be applied to any exercise - mix it up and have FUN!
