Why a Liquid Syllabus?

Sarita uses Google Sites to create a “Liquid Syllabus” for her classes. This idea comes from Michelle Pacansky- Brock and has helped Sarita reach her students in ways traditional documents cannot.

Dave will tell a few stories about how students have been talking about their ability to attend to different tasks and his thoughts about how he might be adapting his syllabus to address it.

Learning in Place:
Co-creating experience-based knowledge with law students

Gemma is working with law students in transition-to-practice spaces. Students co-create content (often in story-based format) shared from year-to-year based on their placement experiences.

Tranum will share their experiences in publishing and adopting the open textbook Pressbook  in the medical biotechnology program and H5P interactives for student engagement and inclusive learning.

Open Writing Challenges
for Faculty

Todd will share the story of some very successful faculty reflective writing “challenges” and some of the ways they can be done at your institution. This small book and this larger one will be used as examples.
