Create Smash Hit segments in Blender
Shatter is a segment editor and general modding toolkit for Smash Hit, allowing you to create custom levels using Blender and patch the game in useful ways.
Once you have Blender installed and you've downloaded Shatter, you will do the following:
Open Blender
Go to Edit -> Preferences or use the key combo Ctrl + , (control + comma).
Click on the Add-ons tab.
Click the arrow at the top right corner, then click Install from disk....
Browse to the Shatter ZIP file you downloaded and open it.
For help on how to use Shatter, see the Shatter wiki.
Versions of Shatter before 1.6.0 supported both old and new versions of Blender. Blender 4.2 and later use the -ext variant, while any version down to 3.3 would use -legacy. Since 1.6.0 and later no longer support anything below 4.2 LTS, there is now only a -ext version. You can still download the source code and use build.py to try making a legacy package, but we don't guarantee it will work on these versions anymore.
