KnShim is no longer being developed. It is replaced by YipLoader, which is not specific to games by Mediocre and doesn't contain any of the utilities normally contained in KnShim. We can still make private customisations to KnShim for specific users if you contact us.
KnShim is Certified Black Magic™ which adds many useful functions to Smash Hit's Lua scripts. These include better file and directory access functions, a cross-script registry similar to mgGet and mgSet, a database which saves data to the user's storage automatically, and control over more gameplay elements.
KnShim is documented at the Smash Hit Wiki. You can find descriptions of all the extra functions that KnShim provides, as well as explanations of how to use them.
KnShim's source code and releases are available on both GitHub and Codeberg.
Shatter also contains a one-click installer for KnShim which comes with the binaries pre-bundled.
