Play levels by other modders online
Hyperspace will (probably) not be developed any further than the current prototype. While the most technically intense work is done by this point, Hyperspace would still be a really big project; all the effort for something I still don't have complete ownership of and can't effectively control the direction of. Since I want to focus on making my own original projects and games in the future, anyway, I decided it's probably best not to continue with Hyperspace given I want to put that effort to other things.
Despite this, the bulk of the progress for Hyperspace has actually been used: Shatter Client 5.0.0 uses overlays, the system developed for loading levels in Hyperspace, to better support custom music among other improvements. KnShim release 13 also makes overlays available for everyone to use more generally so that you can potentially load levels from a server the same way Hyperspace would have.

Hyperspace will allow you to play levels by other modders without downloading and installing an app for each mod. You will be allowed to submit your own levels online which can be played immediately by anyone who has Hyperspace installed.
Hyperspace will release in early beta when we are ready, but we will have more to share before then.
Yes! However, you will need to make sure that your music does not have copyrights that could stop us from distributing it. We will share more on how this works once a formal process is decided.
While in the beta period, the plan is for levels to undergo manual review before they appear in Hyperspace. However, you will not have to give us a long description about your level; we will simply either accept or reject it. We may change this if or when Hyperspace fully launches.
The current plan is that you will be able to use custom templates and music, as well as a customisable HUD.
While this is similar to connecting Shatter Client 4 to a server on the internet, Hyperspace will provide a central and much more customisable experience for those who make levels.
Just like you do with Shatter Client! Hyperspace will include a test client in the advanced options menu that can be used to test levels loaded from NxQuick 1.2 or later in Hyperspace. In fact, the current plan is for Shatter Client 5 to use the same technology as Hyperspace to further improve the quick test experience, or for Hyperspace to replace it entirely.
