“WAR” IS OVER!
After six days of what many called a war, Shardiland is once more at peace, Operation Napoleon has been successful and “King” Alexander I has been forced to negotiate with the Chairman Founder of the republic, unity is crucial to achieve sovereignty and in his words: “This absurd war does not deserve Shardiland, no nation with actual aspirations of sovereignty can afford to be divided”, on this article we will outline the terms of the treaty of Ould Ailsa and some predictions for the future.
The treaty of Ould Ailsa was signed this morning by Alexander Cook and Dr. Davies, this happened because Operation Napoleon worked perfectly and the law obliged Cook to resign, so he asked for a negotiation. After a while they signed a treaty.
The treaty says that the war will be over and the republic will be the legitimate form of government of Shardiland with the old six branch system in place. Contrary to what many believed, Alexander will be pardoned, as well as all who assisted him, showing once again the founders’ compassion. As well as this, Commander Hall and Commander General Skies will be awarded the founder’s medal of honour for all of those who wish to attend the ceremony; it is open to all citizens on the 1st of December at Cedar Palace.
One of the treaty’s most important points is the fate of Pollyland, for those who do not know this is a micronation with no actual sovereignty aspirations whose main goal has been to lure Shardiland down to its terrain. The treaty demands the immediate convening of the country’s first democratic elections and the nation’s supreme leader, Yara Taylor has also signed the treaty, therefore accepting it, the elections are scheduled for the 6th of May 2026, so still a long time from now.
On a future issue we will detail the result of this historic election which might have a big effect on our nation as one of the main parties presenting themselves is the Shardilandi Party of Pollyland (SPP) whose objective is to make Pollyland a province of Shardiland, the most surprising thing is that polls show a 52% approval rating so we might have a new province soon.
Today it already seems like Shardiland is back to normal, the founders meet as usual in Cedar Palace and instead of discussing how to reunite Shardiland they are back to discussing how to achieve independence and help our citizens.
