About Shardiland

The Technocratic Republic of the Islands of Shardiland, more commonly known as Shardiland or The Republic of Shardiland, is a nation with its capital in Ould Ailsa, located near Oxford, United Kingdom this nation also has settlements in Spain and the United States of America. It was created the 20th of December of 2022 by Marco Davies, Shardo Dingi, Lewis Left, Xiao Ling & Alboodles Cadoodles.

The nation was founded for many reasons, the main ones were that the founders did not believe any existing state had a perfect political system yet and the concept of nationalism and the world needed a radical change. Apart from this and although the founders varied greatly on their political ideologies they all believed in the end of distinction just because of someone's nationality as they had seen much discrimination in their close environment and had many friends from other nationalities, because of this they decided to form a new country of which they were all members.

The Republic of Shardiland is called like that to represent how beautiful yet fragile the human mind is, just like a shard. As well as this the day of the creation of our nation was one of the founders birthday, Shardo Dingi, this also contributed to the naming of this country. 

The nation's political system has five branches: Executive, Judicial, Legislative, Academic and Integral.

A message to the world

My fellow human beings, I speak to you today with the intention to transfer a very important message to you, the world we live in is a perilous one, hate is rising and so is fear, humans are fighting humans, and denying help towards them only because they fear to lose their national identity. I have seen many times how great friends of mine were treated differently only beause of their nationality, for this reason we have developed the noble wish of creating a nation where everyone is welcome!

Our mission is a tough one but so are our peoples, we will establish a sovereign nation, and through it we will achieve fairness in our planet, without the use of violence. I cannot think of people more capable of completing this task than those I now have before me, I implore you all, do not give up, keep working as enthusiastically as I have seen you do so in the last years and I have myself full confidence that we will, in fact achieve our goal of making this world a better place, we will not leave anyone behind, we will treat everyone fairly and achive to all possible extend the end social injustice. And to all Shardilandis and human beings who might be watching or reading this, remember, no project is too big and no one is too small.
