Mohamed Sharafeldin is a CAMS lecturer of Analytical Chemistry at University College Cork (UCC), Ireland. He got his PhD in Chemistry from University of Connecticut, USA in 2019 under professor James Rusling. He then worked as postdoctoral research associate at the department of chemistry, University of Oxford (UK) between 2019-2022 and as a lecturer of chemistry at University of Otago, New Zeland between 2022 & 2024. His research is focusing on the development of disease diagnostics at the point of care utilizing modern microfluidic fabrication techniques, electrochemistry, chemiluminescence, colorimetric sensors, biomarker isolation and validation.
