Overview
I enjoy mentoring and working with junior economists and students. In 2025, I received a student-led Teaching Excellence Award for being 'Best in Business Faculty' and was also shortlisted for 'Outstanding Commitment to Equality and Inclusion'. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and co-ordinate Years 2 and 3 of the undergraduate Economics programme at the University of Strathclyde. I am also a member of the Department's Teaching and Learning Committee.
I have considerable experience leading teaching teams and co-ordinating modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. My modules are delivered online and in person at the University of Strathclyde and as part of the Scottish Graduate Programme in Economics hosted by the University of Edinburgh. I design and deliver lectures, tutorials and computer labs (using MATLAB, Stata and R) as well as of coursework and assessments. I also supervise undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD dissertations.
