Sharada Nia Davidson
I am a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in the Department of Economics at the University of Strathclyde in Scotland. I have three broad sets of interrelated interests:
One strand of work involves using (Bayesian) macroeconometric techniques to shed light on issues in international macroeconomics, international finance and central banking. I am particularly interested in econometrically modelling developing and emerging economies.
A new strand of work considers how we can decolonise quantitative methodologies and the analysis of economic data. I am affiliated with D-Econ and regularly attend events run by the FemQuant network.
A third strand of work relates to economic measurement and statistics with a focus on regional and subnational data. I am affiliated with the Economic Statistics Centre of Excellence, funded by the UK's Office for National Statistics, as well as the Fraser of Allander Institute.
I am happy to work with partners in policy and other disciplines and have, for example, previously collaborated with the European Central Bank, Office for National Statistics and Northern Ireland Office.
