Sharada Nia Davidson

I am a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in the Department of Economics at the University of Strathclyde in Scotland.

One strand of my work involves developing and using (Bayesian) macroeconometric techniques to shed light on issues in international macroeconomics, international finance and central banking.  I have previously worked as a Consultant for the European Central Bank, analysing the effects of macroprudential policy. I have a particular interest in developing and emerging economies (DEEs) and how we can decolonise the analysis of economic data.

I am also affiliated with the Economic Statistics Centre of Excellence, funded by the UK's Office for National Statistics, and the Fraser of Allander Institute,  undertaking projects involving economic measurement and statistics.  I have led work appraising the UK's and Northern Ireland's subnational socioeconomic indicators and delivered projects on interregional trade and regional supply and use tables.

I am very happy to discuss possible collaborations with partners in policy and other disciplines.
