Community Project
Welcome!
It is not my 11 years of college education in psychology and counseling that sets me apart, it is my 37 years of personal life experience in long term repeated complex trauma, I don't only know what it takes, I have the grit it takes to break cycles of abuse, poverty, and the power to change my victim status to that of a survivor. We may not be able to control the events that happen to us in this life, but we do get to choose how we hold our power during and after the events, and that is a story that no one gets to write but you. My story is my super power, I choose to survive every day so that I can help make waves in a sleeping world that has forgotten how to show love and compassion.
I am not your typical counselor. I am real, I have lived, I have experienced and I can relate to other trauma survivors deeply in a plethora of types of traumas. Authenticity is celebrated here; difference and diversity are magic waiting to be discovered. What sets you apart, is what makes you great. I find joy in discovering those beautiful parts of human life and gently guiding them to growth. It's not potential in my office, its action. You matter, your story matters, and your place in this world matters.

I have special interest in trauma focused care, EMDR, Mindfulness, Polyvagal theory, play therapy, DBT, CBT, Complex Grief Counseling, Youth and child counseling, and Forensic Counseling. Breaking cycles of abuse and poverty, and Health psychology, are my truest passions. I am actively working diligently for certifications and additional training in these areas.
I am the Founder of the non-profit organization "Reconnecting Communities" and the proud creator of Uinta county's first "blessing box" (See link at top of site).
