Teaching

I have taught two undergraduate courses as an instructor,  and worked as a Teaching Assistant for a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in both research-based and professional programs. As an instructor, I adopt an active learning approach that integrates theory and practice and I incorporate varied means of assessment to create a learning environment where all students have the opportunity to engage and excel.

Instructor

Labour Economics - Bargaining (Econ 2156, Western University)

I introduced a bargaining simulation into a traditional labour economics class. This challenged students to apply and refine their understanding of bargaining from a theoretical perspective, while providing a non-traditional way for students to demonstrate their knowledge, actively participate, and engage in the material alongside their peers.

Health Economics (HS 3090, Western University)

I designed a new economics topics course for health sciences students, including an essay in which students explored a health topic of their choosing from an economics lens, allowing them to sharpen their understanding of economics concepts from an angle relevant to their interests.

Macroeconomics Summer Review (MFE program, Western University)

I designed a new macroeconomics review session for incoming Master of Financial Economics students.

Teaching Assistant

I have held Teaching Assistant positions in variety of subjects including economics, statistics, research methods, labour law and personal leadership as well as been awarded Graduate Teaching Assistant of the Year (Western University). For more details, see my CV.
