Mission Statement:
At Shangos Seeds, our mission is to empower Parent, young adults, and children by equipping them with the essential life skills that build confidence, self-sufficiency, and resilience. We provide hands-on learning opportunities that teach practical skills such as cooking, ironing, sewing, and gardening, helping young individuals develop the tools they need to thrive.
About Aaron (Founder)
My name is Aaron Tanks Sr. I started Shangos Seeds because I’ve seen how access to the right support changes lives. I’m committed to helping people find stability, access benefits, and build real skills that last. I work with individuals and families in a safe, judgment-free space.
Our Vision:
We envision a community where every young person has the tools, support, and confidence to lead a successful and empowered life
Values:
Empowerment, Community, Integrity, Growth, Inclusion
Our Core Services:
Life Skills Workshops: Designed for youth ages 9–14 (co-ed) and young ladies through our “Shae’s Circle” (Coming Soon)—covering cooking, sewing, presentation, and other critical life skills.
Resource & Form Assistance: We help individuals and families complete forms for food assistance, medical benefits, child support, custody, and more. If it’s a form, we’ll help you fill it out.
Youth Mentorship & Everyday Support: From fixing bikes to offering a listening ear, we provide a safe space and practical support for kids in our community.
Community Care & Giving: While we’re not a pantry, we respond to needs when we can—providing food, supplies, and help as available, grounded in neighbor-to-neighbor support.
Why We’re Different:
At Shangos Seeds, we don’t just deliver programs—we build relationships. We combine structured workshops with ongoing, practical support to remove barriers, build resilience, and empower families.
Our Impact:
Since 2024, we’ve served 200 youth and supported 100 families. One parent shared: “Thanks to Shangos Seeds, my son learned skills he never would have at home—and his confidence soared.”
Founded and led by Aaron B Tanks Sr, Shangos Seeds is driven by a belief that every young person deserves the chance to thrive.
