Risks and Benefits of Counseling

Many clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, sadness, or self-doubt. However, through our collaborative work, they leave with greater self-awareness, resilience, and confidence in their ability to navigate challenges. Our focus together is on cultivating psychological flexibility—the ability to live meaningfully and intentionally, even amidst pain. This approach empowers you to take control of your mental health journey.

Counseling offers opportunities for personal growth, emotional healing, and positive life change. Clients often experience reduced anxiety and depression, improved communication, and greater self-awareness. However, therapy may also bring up uncomfortable emotions or memories as part of the healing process. Progress depends on your openness, consistency, and engagement in therapy.

Fees and Payment Policy

• Individual Counseling (In-Person and Telehealth): $165 per 50–55-minute session.

• Family or Conjoint Counseling: $120 per 50–55-minute session

Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements are made in advance. Sessions are conducted at Integrative Health Consultants in Wyoming, MI, or virtually for clients across Michigan. For questions about insurance reimbursement or payment options, please contact me directly.

Confidentiality

Your privacy and confidentiality are of utmost importance. All information shared in counseling is protected by state and federal law. Exceptions include:

• If you express intent to harm yourself or others.

• If there is suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elder, or dependent adult.

• If required by a valid court order.

• If you provide written consent to release information.
