My name is Shalyn Whittemore, and I am currently a sophomore at The University of Pittsburgh. I completed my first two semesters of didactic education with a cumulative GPA of 3.75. I worked hard to maintain high standards for myself knowing that I will be trusted to care for peopek in their darkest moments.  I currently am a UPMC Scholar, a member of the Nursing Student Association, and a member of Chi Alpha (a christian group at Pitt). Upon graduation from The University of Pittsburgh, I plan to gain experience at a UPMC facility as a registered nurse before returning to school to eventually become a Nurse Practitioner. I one day hope to work in a setting that specifically assists veterans, as I dedicated a magnitude of my time to this community throughout high school and continue to do so!
