It's time to say good bye to both Deakin University and Swinburne University of Technology after 4 lovely years of research and teaching! It's been such a pleasure! I conducted a pre-conference workshop for the 9th International Conference on Information Technology Research, on the topic "Enhancing machine intelligence: The role of context-awareness in the IoT system" on the 5th of December 2024 over Zoom. 🆕
I am now a reviewer for the 9th International Conference on Information Technology Research (ICITR: https://icitr.uom.lk). ICITR was the venue where I got my first publication accepted.
I've completed my PhD with the best possible outcome!!!! The mail read: "The degree be awarded without further examination, upon the submission of the final library version of your thesis".
My publications passed the 50 citations mark (in fact, they crossed 60 as well)!
I've started as a Sessional Research Academic (Professional) at Deakin University, Australia, continuing my work with the Distributed Contextual Intelligence System. I am the Chief Investigator of this project, also supervising a Master's researcher.
I am now a reviewer for the Springer Cluster Computing (https://link.springer.com/journal/10586) Journal (Q1) and Springer Journal of Super Computing (https://link.springer.com/journal/11227) Journal (Q2).
I've started as a sessional research fellow at the Factory of the Future and as a sessional academic (teaching) in Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. I'm also continuing as a sessional academic (teaching) at Deakin University.
I am happy to share that I have submitted my PhD thesis on the 5th of July 2024, completing 3 years of research in the project.

I'm happy to share that the Men's Badminton Team representing Deakin University, that is managed and assistant coached by my self, won the Bronze medal at the UniSports UniNationals Sports Competition. UniNationals is the annual all Australian inter-university sports competition which was held in Gold Coast this year.
I'm thrilled to announce that me and the team SafePath Innovators, representing Deakin University won the prestigeous SCATS Student Traffic Data Innovations Challenge 2023. This research competition was held at the AWS Center in Sydney on the 15-16th September. Our solution, a context-aware, highly scalable adaptive traffic signalling system won the top prize of "Best Innovation" in the competition.

Had the opportunity to go back to the university that I did my undergraduates University of Moratuwa and conduct an introductory session on "Context Aware Computing" - the area of research that I'm currently investigating in.

It was an absolute pleasure to have worked with and presented my research work in Adaptive Context Caching at the Institute of Parallel and Distributed Computing at University of Stuttgart, Germany.
