The first step to deciding if Shakespeare is guilty or not is to understand what the poem is saying.
1 He thought to wed us unto nobles three, or Peers:
And unto them and theirs, divide and part the land:
For both my sisters first he sent as first their years
Required their minds, and love, and favor to understand.

(Quoth he) “All doubts of duty to aband’,
I must determine and also your friendships prove:
Now tell me each how much you do me love.”
He wanted to marry the three of us to nobles or rich men
and then divide the land between us
Both of my sisters are older, so they went first
He needed to understand their minds, love and preference
(He said) forget your doubts about what you owe me
I have to figure out how much you like me if I wasn't your father
Now, tell me how much you love me.
