Source Transformation

Source transformation is when one text, artwork, or music piece inspires another. The original is not altered, but the new piece closely resembles it. The source (original) has been transformed (new) into a new work. Music artists sample other artist work, artists recreate art with their own style, authors lift story lines or character types, etc. Below are some examples of source transformation.
