🔬📚 Currently, I am working as an Assistant Professor in Department of Chemical Engineering at Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University, Kothrud, Pune. I have taught Process Modeling and Simulation, Process Calculation, Transport Phenomena and Mechanical Operations to Second and Third Year Chemical Engineering students. I have also taught Advanced Transport Phenomena to ME students. Apart from teaching, I have served on Water and Wastewater Management, Research and Development Committee of the institute promoting sustainable practices, waster water solutions and innvoation. I also contribute to the IUCEE initiative, helping students develop technical and non-technical skills to become industry ready.

Previously, I worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Soft Matter (MMOI) group at Laboratoire de Physique des Solides, Paris, France. I have done my PhD and master's in chemical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. I hold a bachelor's degree in chemical technology from Laxminarayan Institute of Technology. My work lies mostly in the soft matter, where I work on foams and emulsions and explore the complex domains of Rheology, Surfactant Science, Colloids and Interface Science.     

I have been associated and have gained valuable experience in both academia and industry. As a Postdoctoral researcher, I was involved in the FOAM-C project, which included conducting foam coarsening experiments on the International Space Station. I was responsible for data treatment and analysis, as well as participating in project management. I have also designed and developed experimental setups and measurement methods to study the mechanical properties of liquid/liquid interfaces. Prior to the role as a postdoctoral researcher, I worked as a Scientist Product & Process at Almora Botanica (A division of Varana Design Pvt. Ltd.) which is cosmetic startup, where I focused on FMCG formulations. I was involved in all aspects of product development, from formulation design to assessing product stability and efficacy. I also worked on scale-up and technology transfer, ensuring compliance with US and European standards and regulations.

During my Ph.D., I worked on foaming behavior of aqueous solutions of a zwitterionic surfactant in the presence of salts, analyzing the specific ion effect and synergism. In this work, rheological and electrical properties were investigated for the oil/water emulsion system in this work. In my master's work, I examined the electrical properties of fluid-fluid interfaces, examining the intricate interactions between anionic surfactants and 1:1 electrolyte. This research unveiled the crucial roles of adsorption and surface charge in stabilizing foams and emulsions. I have explained it in detail in "Research Interest" section.

My research interests involve foams, emulsions, rheology, colloid and interface science, thin films, surfactants, and specific ion effects. My pursuits also extend to microgravity, surface and intermolecular forces, creating a comprehensive canvas of exploration and discovery.
