We are a collaborative research team led by Assistant Professor Shaia Haque, based in the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology at the University of Barishal, Bangladesh, with international links through her PhD research at the Sheffield Institute for Translational Neuroscience (SITraN), University of Sheffield, UK.

Our group is passionate about exploring how genetics, genomics, and molecular biology can deepen our understanding of both human health and the environment. We work at the crossroads of neurodegenerative disease research and environmental biotechnology, with an open door for curious minds, collaborative spirits, and driven researchers.
