Shahir Safi
I am an Assistant Professor of Economics (Tenure-Track) at the New Economic School (NES).
I completed my PhD at Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (Barcelona School of Economics),
Salvador Barberà (Advisor) and Andreu Mas-Collel (Dissertation Chair).
Research Interests: APPLIED MICRO THEORY, INDUSTRIAL ORGANIZATION, PUBLIC ECONOMICS.
I am an applied theorist with a focus on networks theory and information economics.
My research has covered topics like referrals, organizational management, contract theory, and public policy interventions (e.g., subsidies for firms in R&D networks of inter-firm collaborations).
I am especially interested in understanding firm's behavior and public policy interventions.
