As part of the Cyber Cycle team, I was responsible for the mechanical and digital interface design of the smart cycling attachment. I led the CAD design efforts using SolidWorks, creating a compact and ergonomic housing that securely fits onto standard bicycle frames while accommodating key hardware components such as the Arduino, ESP8266, sensors, and LEDs. My design emphasized modularity and ease of assembly, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and practical functionality.
In parallel, I worked on the front-end user experience by designing the companion web interface in Figma. This interactive prototype provided cyclists with access to real-time data such as distance traveled, average speed, and calories burned—information calculated using the Hall-effect sensor and displayed through integration with ThingSpeak. The Figma design prioritized clarity and responsiveness to ensure the application would be accessible across various devices, supporting the broader goal of promoting safer and more informed urban cycling.
