A 9-second animation depicting a man in a diner with a burger, fries & fizzy drink in his tray, only to accidentally trip over a drink can and fall over. Luckily, the food didn’t land on the floor.
This animation was made as part of my postgraduate degree in Autodesk Maya. The character model is a pre-existing one called the 'Blake' rig by Jason Baskin. Most of the sound effects were created by me aside from the slide whistle, which was found online for free. The voice for the character is Ed Kimberly.
These were a set of animation cycles that were used as part of a theatrical production called 'On the Bare Hills'. The theatre company, 'Strange Futures' wanted a series of animated effects that would be projected onto a scale model of the Malvern Hills, near Worcestershire and Herefordshire. I animated three of these effects using cut-out stop motion on to a blue or green screen - falling autumn leaves, silhouettes of people marching and raindrops falling on the ground.
The first animatic I ever worked on. This animatic was part of a group project where we selected what script we wanted to adapt. I was in charge of designing the characters and drawing all the animatic frames digitally. The script we adapted was called 'Guardian Angel' - a story about a young girl and her biologist mother. After Amina's mother passed away from an experiment gone wrong, the mother returns as a spirit to protect Amina from harm.
