I am a Postdoctoral Scientist in the Biomedicine Section of the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. I completed my PhD in February 2025 from the Computational Intelligence and Bioinformatics lab at DCS, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. Before my PhD, I graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Botany from the University of Delhi and was then awarded an MSc in Bioinformatics from DCS, Jamia Millia Islamia in June 2020. I got ample exposure to Genomics (WGS, WES) and Proteomics (computer-aided drug design) using programming sets and some tools/suites while working in top Indian institutions- ICGEB, IARI, Jamia Hamdard and SRM University.
I am a Bioinformatics Scientist specialising in the integration of Artificial Intelligence with Genomics and Drug Design. My core research involves the development of deep learning-based models such as DrLungker, LungXAI, and DeepEntXAI—targeting drug activity prediction in lung cancer using BioAssay data, RNA-Seq-based classification of lung cancer subtypes, and prediction models for reducing drug resistance in Enterobacteriaceae. I possess strong expertise in protein modelling, molecular docking, and phylogenetic analyses, particularly for infectious diseases. I also design and automate pipelines for sequence alignment, evolutionary inference, and phylogenetic reconstruction. My broader interests include machine learning in drug discovery, comparative genomics, and vaccine target prioritisation, with an emphasis on translational and precision medicine through interdisciplinary collaboration. I was born and completed my primary education up to Class 8 in my hometown, Basti, Uttar Pradesh. I then moved to Lucknow, the state capital, where I pursued my secondary education from Class 9 to 12. Following this, I was admitted to the University of Delhi, where I earned my undergraduate degree in Plant Science. After graduation, I qualified for the entrance examination and secured admission to the Department of Computer Science at Jamia Millia Islamia for an MSc in Bioinformatics. I began my PhD journey there in September 2021 and successfully completed it in February 2025.
