Meet the Journalism Adviser

Hey Comets! My name is Ms. Stuart and I am a 9th grade ELA teacher and the journalism adviser. I am originally from Paterson, New Jersey which is a city about 30 minutes outside of NYC. Since moving to Georgia, I graduated from Kennesaw State University and earned a degree in English Education with a minor in Psychology. I have also started South Gwinnett's student-run magazine, Voices of South, in 2021. I have proudly been a Comet for three years and I love being able to provide young journalists the platform to exchange ideas. I am so excited to serve as the adviser for this publication and I hope you enjoy reading this year's volume of Voices of South.
