Field trips will occur on Wednesday afternoon, October 4. Choose your field trip option when you register for the meeting, to make changes to your field trip selection contact megan.kleibacker@oregonstate.edu. It's fall in Oregon, be prepared for rainy weather!

1. Explore Quests: Quests are clue directed hunts that combine educational experiences in fun and interactive ways. Learn about the applications of this creative Oregon Sea Grant outreach tool, and then try out a local Quest for yourself!

2. Walking Tour of Historic Downtown Astoria: Grab your walking shoes and learn about the history of Astoria and its unique architecture, ranging from Victorian to Art Deco, during this guided tour. Be prepared for a few hills!

3. Cape Disappointment: Cross the expansive Astoria-Megler Bridge to the state of Washington and visit the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center at Cape Disappointment. The center has spectacular views, hiking trails, a lighthouse, and is a great place to learn the history of the area. Be prepared for a short, steep walk up to the Interpretive Center.

4. Cannon Beach: visit the iconic Haystack Rock and coastal town. Plan to spend time on the beach with a naturalist from the Haystack Rock Awareness program or explore some of the local shops.
